Isn't
that the way it is with mothering? We don't just tell our
children what to do, we raise them to go out and make a difference in the
world. We nudge them out of the nest so they can fly on their
own. Trouble is, they fall from time to time, just like we do. It's
at those times we help pick them up and comfort the bruises so they can get
back out there and fly some more.
God
is like that. His arms are always there to wrap around us and say "I
love you, my child. You are not alone. Let me show you the
way. Follow my example and be a light in a darkened world."
